BASEBALL SEASON Thebes had a very good baseball team this year. The team split the four games which were played during the fall season, losing two games and winning two. Several good players quit school after the fall season ended, so we will have to replace them for the spring season. We are planning to meet at least four different ball clubs in the spring baseball season The scores of the four games played last fall were TEAM THEY McClure Tamms McClure Tamns BASEBALL TEAM Eugene Dalton Senior Pitcher Deacon' was the hurler of the Thebes Tigers e was able to out guess the batters and was a fair hitter He had good control in handling the ball Junior Stamp Sophomore Catcher Junior was the catcher of the Tigers and did a fine Job He was a good hitter He dropped out last semester and will be hard to replace Gordon Creenley Senior F rst Base Gordon played iirst base and was a very good hitter He also played his pos tion well This position of first ba e will be hard to fill next spring since Gordon dropped out of chool, too Jimmie Baker Senior Second Base Jimmie played second base nd did a good Job at this position Along with Lis good position playing he was a good hitter You could depend on him for one or two hits a game Dale Ialden Senior shorts p Dale was HIE Sho tstopn of the ball club Pe Nas a good infielder as well as a good hitter . . . . . - Y I 'X C : 'Y'1 I' NE . 2 O 1 2 1+ .. 13 2 ...-.............. .........L. . 17-nl-gg i-n1Qi 3u.
