ES TOWNSHIP HIGH SCHOOL At last the great year has rolled around We are now the SSHlOPS of l9SO Sl we have all reached our goal in hlgh school Some of our class wlll go to college, some will seek Jobs, and some will enter the servlces of our country To matter what walk of life we enter, we w1l1 never forget our good old school days nterlng our Freshman year ln eotembe , l9h7, we en rolled wlth twenty slx nembers we were glven the name of uGreen Freshmen,' but we were very proud of that na the eleventh day of thls month, we had our flrst class meet lng to elect class ofllcers and a oonsor They were Robert Blshop President Dalton Mathls Vice Presldent ava Le Key Secretary Mary Norrls Treasurer Rosemarle Gendron was elected cheerleader thls year and a few of our boys made the basketball team Also, Cornella wilson was elected Freshman Queen We were very proud rresh men thls year when we were awarded the Sportsmanshlp Tronhy for the class tournament We are all looklng forward to our Sophomore year SENIOR HISTORY OLIVQ BRANCH COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL In l9b7, we entered our Freshman year at Olive Branch with ten girls and eight boys, making a total of eighteen The first week we were initlated It was fun for the ones who could take it and for the upoerclas men The DlPlS wore thelr dresses backward and an onlon around their ne k One slde of their hair wa worn in an upsweeo wnlle the other slde was braided The boys wore their shirts backward and had one trouser leg rolled up higher than the other, showlng one sock of a kind. The team split the four games which were played during the fall season, losing two games and winning two. Several good players quit school after the fall season ended, so we will have to replace them for the spring season.
