The Plains Band Mr. Thomas Evans, our music instructor, started giving lessons at the beginning of the school year in 1948. We soon organized the band, which started with twenty-six members. The following year, we started marching. We played for football games, and pep meet- ings. We played in a Christmas program at Logan. We also helped with the Christmas program on The Plains. The month of February was devoted in practising for our mid-winter concert. We went an a concert tour to various schools. Next spring, we can plan to buy band uniforms.
