Her task was born in the back of the art room where she was given a few meager crates of books and told to organize them for our meager-size school. A staunch attitude towards betterment and a yearly battle for budget were the stepping stones for her design of an Upper School library. She has become a mediator for students and faculty with all libraries and colleges . She attends UNC-G weekly to enforce and enlarge her abilities . She trains teachers, as well as students, in the fine art of book selections and AV operation. After a slow yearly accumulation of needed equipment, we have graduated from a library to an outstanding Media Center. She religiously keeps teachers informed of new releases and provides for professional reading. She allots time for lower school classes to enjoy, while they learn, the uses of this center. She is quick to relinguish the center to groups in need of conference space. She is always willing to lend a hand with non-library activities in order to stay involved with the students. Last, but not least, she is our mama to Squiggy, We can't ever imagine Wallace O'Neal without our very special - BRENDA HYATT.
