PRESS CLUB This is the second year for this club at Morgan. It was established by the Seniors of '49 and carried on and ex- panded by the Seniors of '50. The first meeting was held and the officers were elected. They were: President-Carl Woodstockg Vice President- Thomas Howardg Secretary- Lee Correllg Treasurer-John Johnson. The first job was the print- ing of programs for all the basketball games. Then came tickets for the Senior Cotil- lion and in rapid-fire pro- grams and name tags for the Shoreline Forum, tickets for the University of Connecti- cut Glee Club, covers for the Courses of Studies for the next year, and many other odd jobs. The club took in many new members who will carry the club on through the coming years and who will try to better it in every way they can. -'L Ltd' MORGAN SEWING CLUB This year the Sewing Club elected at the first meeting the following officers: Presi- dent-Marilyn Holbrook, Vice President - Alberta Soder- strom, Secretary - Mildred Brainard and Treasurer- Sally Holbrook. They started off the year by selling tickets for a raffle for which the prize was a radio. This got their treasury off to a good start and they added to this by showing several movies. Their big project of the year was the annual Spring Fashion Show. The Sewing Club obtained the wardrobe of spring clothes from New York and had as models some of the girls in school. They also gave several food sales under the able direction of Miss Patricia Strange, their advisor. As in previous years, the Sewing Club took a trip to New York City in the Spring. OFFICERS .
