F' P SENIOR PRESS ASSOCIATION This year saw the starr of one of the most hard working clubs in Morgan The Senior Press Association This club was organized by john Spinning Kenneth Cookson Art Scheld Ed johns and john Graef The boys started by cleaning up the old press and room down in the base ment and sorting the jumbled mass of type During this time the boys received much help and encouragement from Mr Joel and Mr Fletcher The prime purpose of this organization was to print programs for all the home basketball games but such a useful group could not go long before it was swamped with orders for printing Then in December the boys took on the tremendous task of printing programs and tickets for the annual H1 Y show To date the work of this organization amounts to over 600 dance tickets 200 letterheads and envelopes an average of 150 programs for each of the twelve home basketball games including line ups for both teams and finally 3000 tickets and 1000 programs a total of 20 000 pages for the H1 Y show Such a record speaks for itself as all this work was done during study halls and after school It is hoped by all who have beneflted by this organization and also by the boys themselves that it will not die out with the passing of the class of 49 The boys have therefore taken in as apprentices several under classmen who were interested and are teaching them how to set type chase it and run the press Let us hope they succeed and long live the Senior Press Association '-5. -.4 '- lI?f?1':1 X A., an A 'i C 'ii I, .
