Front row left to nght W Hull N Rmdge D Pallenberg A Schrerber Back row R ,Iennmgs R Dowd ATHLETIC COUNCIL As has been 1ts custom the Athletlc Councll elected 1ts oflicers for the year 1944 45 1n the sprmg of 1944 The results of thls electlon were Tom Gladwm President Warren Loule Hlll VICE Presldent Norma Rlndge Secretary and Dlblrma Pallen berg Treasurer Soon after the openlng of school Tom left for the servlce Louie moved up to replace him and Andy Schrelber took office as VICE President Rosalle Iennmgs and Ruth Dowd were selected to complete the Councll Thelr work this year has conslsted of raxsmg funds for varlous projects connected wlth athletlcs Among these are funds for trophles to be presented at graduation for the new bleachers that have been lnstalled 1n the gym and for students who mlght be mjured and not have the money for medxcal care Thls last fund 15 to be contlnued 'md enlarged each year To ralse these funds season tlckets for the boys basketball games were sold Admission fees for the glrls basketball games charged thls year for the first time helped to swell the funds There has also been a sale of crew caps to the student body The job faclng the Councll thls year was a blg one but we feel that they have done well and have introduced some new and worthwhlle ldeas 31
