CLASS HISTURY Whlle hxstory rs berng made on the battlefront and the world IS bemg torn asunder we have en deavored to here set down a brlef but complete hlstory of our four years at Morgan Followmg the usual cycle of alfaxrs we pro gressed from Freshmen to Senlors a feat whlch 1n 1tSClf IS not outstandlng but the small events that make llfe 1nterest1ng fortlfled us durlng these four arduous years As Freshmen we held a CetAcqua1nted Party and from that t1me on were an exact repllca of a Scottlsh Clan Clngerly and bashfully we par tlclpated ln all school actlvltles and wlth sllghtly more courage and POISC entered lnto our Sopho more year relnforced by a new group of students Hlgh A Thanksglvlng Dance held 1n the Andrews Memorlal was our first venture of any great magm tude So successful was It that we were 1n plred to sponsor a dance ln the Spring for the benefit of the Cllnton Servlcemen s Fund We also dug down deep 1nto our jeans and purchased class rlngs Wlth these on our 1I1kSl3.lIlf'd hands we felt that we had at last arrlved 1n Morgan Thus IH June another season rn the Morgan theater closed and we adjourned for a brlef TCSPIIC to prepare our costumes for the comlng openln The S1 ptember of our ,lunlor year found us emergmg from our summer lethargy to behold new vlstas as upperclassmen To start the year w1th a bang the school was glVCH an outlet for all 1ts pent up energy at our Modern Old Fashloned Dance If the Leglon Hall Wlth our fingers ln every ple we found that the year whlzzed by We were startled by the annual Iunlor Prom knocklng on our door Speaklng modestly we must admrt t was a huge success Soclally we h1t the jack pot and financxally our bank book was not llghtened Semor year our class was convoked by the openlng of school on a sad day for our d1m1n1shed numbers Many of our he men had departed to fight the battles of our country and several more left to do thelr share durlng the course of the year We missed these classmates lmmeasurably but forced ourselves to contmue our act1y1t1es We edrted the Mor an Tower sponsored the Chrlstmas Cot1ll1on and at thls dance reylyed some of the old tradltlons and customs that had been abandoned As our last year approached a grand finale we reallzed how enamored we were of dear old Morgan Today IS a sorrowful day ln our youn l1ves We must now leave the shelterlng portals of Morgan but l1lce our classmates who have been forceo to leave a l1ttle prematurely we too plan to do our share ln thls upslde down world to contmue sup portln the blg league baseball game college foot ball and Uncle Sam We all w1ll follow drverse paths ln the future but these past four years and the frlendshlps made w1ll long be remembered and cher1shed . . . .
