Naturally, I take a particular interest in it, but it simply is not possible for me to make another engage- ment of any kind this Winter. When' I Was a boy the history of Holland had not been Written in English, land I knevv little of the land of my forefathers. The heroes of my youth Were Scotland's William Wallace and others of that ilk, and the -I.' Scotch people have been very near to my heart ever since. I am very glad that We have, as our first speaker to-night, a Scotchman by birth, although he has been' here so long that perhaps he has forgotten that he Was ever anything elSG than an American.
