(POP) LAMKIN Assistant to the Director of Education and Training THE APPRENTICE ATHLETIC BUILDING In the Athletic Building, there was much activity in 1948. “Pop Lamkin’s return, in late 1947, added much to the athletic curriculum of the school. The building was open nightly throughout the year for the first time since before the war. Mrs. Pullen, faithful and reliable, was there always willing to be of service to the boys and keeping the place in order. In his usual distinguished manner, Mr. Dobson carried on the work of the varsity teams, presenting some of the best squads of recent years. [ 10 ]
