10 Graduation Is Different Fly Like An Eagle was the theme for graduation and was carried out with a s ecial slide presentation P showing the Seniors in various activi- ties. Arden Palmer, president of the school board, complimented Eddie Cooper as an example of outstanding character. Valedictorian Eddie Cooper gave his first public speech. Other speakers were Co-salutatorians joe Janus and Patti I-Ioward and Student Body Vice- President janet Fairbanks. A gradua- tion party was held Thursday night at the Bowling Alley and later at Firth Park. Patti Howard challenges each senior to like himself. Seniors wait nervously for their diplomas. Y' Tennis Is Very Successful The girls' tennis team had a very successful year. V Bottom Row: Shari Palmer, Lisa Welker, Susan They only lost one match the whole year and also won both the district and the state champion- ships. At districts, Kelly McGrath and Lisa Welker took first place in doubles, and in singles, Heidi Smith was second, and Rande Lucas was third. Kelly and Lisa were also the doubles champs at state, and Heidi took third place and Rande fourth in state singles.
