VVells has a highly-varied administrative background. He holds a B.B.A. and a B.A. from Baylor and was Auditor of john Tarleton College, instructor in Business Administra- tion at Sam Houston State Teachers College, and head of the B.B.A. department at Clarendon Junior College, Simmons University, and Sam Houston State Teachers College. Pennington received his B.B.A. from the Lfniversity of Texas in 1935. For a year, he was coach and teacher at lil Paso High. Next, he joined the College of Blines and lletallurgy as Varsity Basketball and Freshman Football Coach and College Business llfanager. From 19-H to 1946, llr. Pennington served in the LYS. Navy Armed Guard as a gun crew oflicer on a merchant ship. He was discharged a Lieutenant. The war over, Pennington returned to the School of lllines until 1949 when he became Comptroller of Tech and later, Vice-President and Comp- troller. ice fgwaicfenf Dr. G. lf. Giesecke, vice president in charge of academic ad- ministration, has been at Tech since l953. After graduating from Stanford, Tech's academic head won a fellowship and studied at the University of fklarburg, Ger- many. fiiesecke returned to Stanford in 1932 and began work on his masterls and later on his doctoral degree. After com- pleting his doctorate, Dr. Giesecke taught at the University of Illinois. After the war, he returned to lllinois, where he was Assistant Dean in Liberal Arts and Sciences and associate professor in German. And from 1949 to 1953, Giesecke headed the School of Applied Arts and Sciences at North Dakota Agricultural College.

Then he went on to gain his INI.A. at Tech, coach at lN'It. Pleasant, and to serve with the U.S. Navy Hospital Corps. The Dean of lien is in charge of citizenship, housing, and personnel records of all I male students. Aiding the Dean of lXIen in his work is VVilliam R. Geisert, Assistant Dean of INIen and sw.-.Visor-4 of Bledsoe Hall. Corning to Tech from Indiana University, KIr.
