Page 27 TEXAS 7 - TEXAS A84 The Red Raiders lost their second game of the year to their second South- west conference foe, Texas AGM, 29-7, in the annual tussle in San Antonio's Alamo stadium before 20,000 spectators. Tech held the Aggies in check until early in the second half when AGM un- leashed its power to take a commanding lead. The Raiders touchdown was set up following a pass interception by Center Bobby Williams. Fullback I. W. Thompson and Halfback Charlie Reynolds alternated in carrying the ball to the AGM 5-yard line. Highlighting this surge was Reynolds' spectac- ular Sl-yard jaunt around right end which carried to AGM's 26. Thompson toted the ball to the 5-yard line in two plunges through the Aggie forward wall. Quarterback Ernest Hawkins then passed to Half- back Ralph Earhart in the end zone for the touch- down. Earhart made a perfect conversion but the rally had come too late and AGM was on the top side of the 29-7 score.

TECH 21 An underdog West Texas State eleven threw a scare into the Red Raiders as they piled up a 13-point lead early the first half only to see the Techsans go ahead l4-l3 at the intermission and then score again in the second stanza to win 2l-l3, before a capacity crowd in Tech stadium. The Buffaloes scored five minutes after the opening kickoff on a pass play and converted to make the score 7-O.
