Our purpose is to aquaint TMSA members with the profession of medicine — its aims, purposes and ideas; to promote intellectual growth; to stimulate participation in civic and medical fields; and to encourage fellowship among the members. Various activities were conducted during the 1985-1986 Academic year. In May, members held a bake sale with proceeds being donated to the TEXAS MEDICAL STUDENTS AUXILIARY Ronald McDonald project. A garage sale was held in October and the money raised was donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the TTUHSC Student Emergency Loan Fund. A cookbook was compiled by the group with the proceeds going to the Children’s Home of Lubbock.
