Each member of the commit- tee was chosen because of his congenial personality, and ability to make friends. SERVICE COMMITTEE The purpose of the service committee is to sup- plement the existing committees and to plan and to carry out activities which will be of service to the Bible Chair. Some of these activities are preparing Chaifmlafl ' Seymour Evans refreshments for parties and serving the food for C0'Cha1I'man u Joe Black the Sunday evening meals. During the first semester Secretary ' Willodyne WeSt0I1 money was collected to buy food for needy families. STUDENT RELIGIOUS COUNCIL The Student Religious Council is a campus organization with repre- sentatives of many beliefs. The Council strives to emphasize spiritual values. Each year it spon- sors 'Religious Emphasis Week. During the week a speaker of national importance is brought to the campus. Working with him are several 'team speakers' who have been chosen from a variety of pro- fessions and beliefs. This year Dr. Paul Witt from Abilene Christian College was one of the 'team speakers.
