Dear Christian Friends, Your lives have been an influence that can never be replaced nor rubbed out. You have not only in- fluenced the students at Tech, but you, by your life that you have lived while here in school, have paid dividends on the support that thousands of people have given to the Tech Bible Chair. May we quote a saying from H. Beecher to describe the influence that you exert. The blossom cannot tell what becomes of its odor, and no man can tell what becomes of his influence and example, that roll away from him, and go beyond his ken on their perilous mission. May I urge you to let the Bible Chair be your Home Away From Home. Never let the clouds of sin keep out the light of God, but always be an example in word, in manner of life, in love, in faith, and in purity, If we miss seeing you again on this side of the vale, may we see each other on the upper and better side some day.
