Stairs - the theme the 1964 Doedalian staff has chosen to capture the memories that were yours at Texas Womon's University during this memorable school year. Remember the countless stairs you climbed every time you went out of your dorm, to a class, to the Pub, to a social event or a sporgs activity? Remember the endless stairs that you climbed as you represented the University whether it was on official duty or iust a tr p ome. But the 1964 Daedalian staff felt that there is more in the theme that affected the students than the actual daily climbing of the numerous stairs in and around campus. Freshmen: Do you remember iust a year ago when you had climbed to the top of your high school career and were ready to leave your old school? You decided to come to Texas Woman's University and when you arrived here you were at the bottom of the stairs. You undertook a new experience and started the long climb to the top again. Sophornores: You were familiar with the stairs on the TWU campus when you returned to it. But they were not the some stairs that you climbed during your freshman year because naw you know which leads to your chosen path. Juniors: Your climb to the top is almost here. You're almost at the highest step and through your climbs you have realized that nothing is ever the sarnep and sa you strive for your goals. Seniors: Your stairs were the hardest and longest because you have experienced so many kinds of stairs during your four years. But now you are at the top and soon you will leave and try your learned knowledge as you climb the stairs of the world. TWU has grown this year. The stairs have been many and steep but they will always be o part of the year 1964-for didn't we all climb together as a University?
