FOREWORD ln this year, 1933-34, point in the history of Texas en, we have endeavored to have always been so characteristic which have received new impetus in this deals. We have attempted to initiate a new the Daedalian at the same time by placing all emphasis on college life as it is, with dignity and serenity pre- dominant, but with a happy undercurrent ever present. We have departed from the custom of our predeces- sors in dispensing with the framework of historical tra- dition and artificial plans that have nothing to do with the present. x If this boolc of memories, in all its solemn dignity, in after years will convey to you the happy moments that you experienced while on this campus, its purpose will have been fulfilled. May these pages, for the present and For the Future, instill in your hearts a love For your life here in S.C.W., and may they lceep burning in your heart forever the flame which has been reincarnated on our campus.
