GIRLS ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION Membership in the GAA is open to all girls interested in athletics. The organization, which this year consists ofsixty members, meets every Thursday evening. The girls participate in intramural volleyball, basketball, tennis, swimming, softball, relays, and track events. Early Sunday morning hikes are another feature of the club. The GAA was organized in 1931 for the purpose of'iosterir19 an interest in athletics among the girls ot TLC and oi sponsoring all girls intramural activities. Besides hav- ing a lot oi fun, each member may try to acquire a letter by taking active part in all GAA activities. TAU LAMBDA CHI The Tau Lambda Chi was organized in 1946 as a non-secret, democratic frater- nity, created to promote true Christian fellowship, and to provide wholesome social activities for the students of the college. Membership is open, witha few necessary limitations, to all men students. The fraternity sponsors several parties and picnics during the school year, including an all-school Halloween party, a smoker for the boys, and a formal banquet for members and their guests. The motto of the organization is Esprit de Corps ,4 its' colors are scarlet and gold, and the flower is the red carnation. FOOTLIGHT DRAMATICS CLUB The Footliqht Dramatics Club, the 93rd chapter of the National Dramatics Organi- zation, Delta Psi Omega, is an organization whose membership is open to anyone interested in any phase of theatrical production. The membership consists ot 40 stu- dents, who, meet twice a month. This club was revived in December, 1946, after be- ing inactive during War years. The aim of this society is to provide for the further development of its members in all phases ot theater Work. During this year, the members of the Footlight Dramatics Club presented a three- act comedy, a Christmas pageant, and an Easter pageant. Various social activities are scheduled throughout the school year, including the Academy Award party in the spring at which awards are given for the best performance of the year.
