' l l - l ' 1 , l 1 t t 'itll ' BAND The band, which was reorganized in the fall of 1946 by Mr. Watson, has-increased its activities during l947-48. During the football season the band furnished pep music, and a colorful drill during the half oi each home game. Concert work was the major activity of the second semester. The improved balance ot instrumentation this year helped to make this a most enjoyable activity for all the members, and also raised the quality of music in the air which floated out of 4th tloor Windows in Old Main. Several out-oi-town trips provided fun for the members. Rex Davis served as drum major during the fall semester, Cnd Vernon McDonald during the spring session.
