Student Council initiates bicgole racks Acting as governing body of students, the Student Council closed the gap between students and administrators. The governing body consisted of five officers, home room presidents, class presidents, and club presidents. Activities for the year included con- ducting the Homecoming parade, the welcome and prayer at football games, operating the school store, sponsoring the All-School Social, and the monthly calendar. The Student Council was also responsible for getting bicycle and motorcycle racks in the student parking lots. The sponsor was Mrs. Marguerite Hamilton. THQ presented 'Kiss Me Kate' as musical TAKE THAT AND THAT! - Brian Mounsey lMr. Grahaml paddles Ginger Wreyford lLillie Vanessil during a scene in the muscial 'Kiss Me Kate.' 'Kiss Me Kate' by Cole Porter enth- ralled February and March Little Theater Audiences as the All School Musical title. The musical featuring beautiful scores and a breakneck plot began with the Baltimore opening of Shakespeare's 'The Taming of the Shrew'. The hilarious complication arose from the squabbles of a divorced couple in the cast, from a couple of sleazy hoodlums, from a shifty politician, from a shrewd old patriarch and from three ardent suitors. The ioint production of the Texas High Music and Drama Departments featured talented actors, agile dancers, and an exuberant chorus. ISN'T THAT SIMPLY FASCINATING? - Bruce Mounsey, Thom and explains her events of the day.
