BASKETBALL RETURNlNG to the hardwood courts for the lirst time in many years, 'l'.C.D. put out a team that, though inexperiencecl ancl unpracticecl, gave a very favorable account of itself. However, after more practice, the hoys startecl working as a team and soon hecame a well organized machine. As the season progressed, Coach lxlurray cleveloperl a numher of stanflouts. After a few unsuccessful starts the team hit its stricle anfl hegan to shape into a well shapefl hall cluh. Lecl hy the ever present Captain Sawyer, the Broncs linishecl high in the Saturday League in which they were enterecl. These games proverl to he val- uahle experience and much was gainerl through these contests. The prospects for next year's hall cluh is much hrighter. Although the team will he without 'the services of Captain Sawyer ancl Bill Meelzer, three of the original starters will return and we linow that Leonarcl, hlclunlun and Vxriggins will leacl next years team to a much hetter season. BASEBALL WITH but four of last year's regulars on hand, Coach Mosher has whipped a green outfit into a ball club which rates among the best in the history of T.C.D. As the Latigo goes to press, the Broncs have played four games. ln the First game the Broncs dropped a close -1-2 decision to the Sunset Bisons. The T.C.D. nine elced out a 6-5 victory over an improvised team from Highland Parlc Junior High. The next game was played with Highland Parl: High second string team. Behind the brilliant pitching of Fireball Freddie lVlc.lunl:in, the Broncs defeated this team 7-2. The game with ,lesuit High School ended with a score of 8-5 in favor of the Rangers Uesuitl.
