He has been a consistent t 'L t h R con ri u or to t e ound Table, and this year, in addition to heing assistant humor editor of the Latigo he is one of the members of the senior piaywriting team. However, it is as a scholar that Miclex receives his laurels. Although this is going in against hard protest, we cannot help hut mention the fact that Mickey is prohahly the greatest horseman of the class. This h been ruhhed in for the past four years hut, nevertheless. he has heen the bodyguard fo several plugs at his home in the country. In closing it might he helpful to add that he may he found at most any free moment nonchalantiy exchanging voiieys of Gunfire with some irate farmer across the countryside. Montclair, N. J., and over a period of six years he BOB came to our school in 1939 from has done a very Fine joh, 130th academically and in other Fields. Boh had heen, up until two years ago, a very good end on the football team, but met with a disastrous accident . . . Y . h during one of the practice sessions and chipped a hone in his elhow. Howex er, since t is accident he has served quite capahly as manager of the varsity team. ln the scholastic world, Boli has made a place for himself, in that he has received honors many times in various sulujects. As a military o11icer he has shown himself to he a good leader of boys, because he was the guardian 01 the lower school platoon for the past two years. Baslcet- ball was another one of the sports that he went out for and through consistent practice he liecamc a leiterinan. During his long term of attending Country Day, B019 has served in several of the extra curricular activities, heing on the Student Council and president of various classes. This year was highlighted hy the fact that Bob has served the Latigo as Business Manager. JOHN PAUL KARCt IER Entered -- 1941 l.atigo -- Advertising Manager Football Lcttvrrnan - 1942, '44 Basketball Letter -f 1945 Silver Football -- i941 Color Sergeant Probable College -- University of Colorado fowl PAUL entered T.C.U. in 1941, and during four years he has built up a spirit of high esteem in the minds of his teachers and classmates. Long legs and a voice that carries a country mile are the chief characteristics of Paul. His high, shrielaing voice may be heard pouring from the building throughout the day. Most of Pauls Wednesday after- noons are spent in the detention hall. Red marlzs seem to be his second nature, and wherever you Find them, there Paul will be. For the past several years he has been out regularly for Varsity football. Twice in the history of his football career he has lettered in this sport. This past season, as an outstanding baslcetball player, he received his bas- lretball award. lt is a festive day, indeed, when Paul manages to plod his weary way to school. lvlost consistently he is absent on test days and it has become a standing jolce in the senior class. Mathematics have been his most shining subject, and he has received honors in this subject on several occasions. After a full summer's worlc at hard labor, Paul plans to enter the University of Colorado. Here they do not have the Red Marla system and we all feel that without these annoyances Paul will have a successful future at this school. . it 4 1 9. l 1 lj ft N
