JOSEPH MICHAEL EGAN, JR. lfntered - Fehmary, 1944 Latigo -- Assistant Photograph Editor Committees -' Senior Programs Military - Corporal Baseball Squad -f 1944 Prohahle College -' University ot' Colorado MWJQQ JOE came to T.C.D. in the spring of 1944 from North Dallas High School. Arriving just in time for hasehall, Joe went out for this sport and proved to he a worthy contrihution. Undoubtedly the schools foremost motorcycle rider, Joe can sometimes he seen flying past in his new Army Motorcycle. This past summer, however, Joe met with a horrihle fate and had an accident on his vehicle. The incurred accident hospitalized him for some time and he did not retum to school until mid-term. As the saying goes, you can't lceep a good man down, and Motorcycle Mike was haclc again on his machine. The ahsence of his long legs was indeed a loss to the football and haslcetlaall teams. ln his relatively ephemeral stay at T.C.D. Joe has come a long way in curricular activities. Serving in the capacity of the assistant photographic editor of this puhlication, Joe has made enormous strides in rushing this hool: to completion. He has the admiration and respect of his teachers and classmates, and is very capable of talcing a jolce. Joe lvlilce plans to enter the Univer- sity of Colorado this summer. Montclair, N. J., and over a period of six years he BOB came to our school in 1939 from has done a very Fine joh, 130th academically and in other Fields. Boh had heen, up until two years ago, a very good end on the football team, but met with a disastrous accident . . . Y . h during one of the practice sessions and chipped a hone in his elhow. Howex er, since t is accident he has served quite capahly as manager of the varsity team. ln the scholastic world, Boli has made a place for himself, in that he has received honors many times in various sulujects. As a military o11icer he has shown himself to he a good leader of boys, because he was the guardian 01 the lower school platoon for the past two years. Baslcet- ball was another one of the sports that he went out for and through consistent practice he liecamc a leiterinan. During his long term of attending Country Day, B019 has served in several of the extra curricular activities, heing on the Student Council and president of various classes. This year was highlighted hy the fact that Bob has served the Latigo as Business Manager.
