7!w pw' HIS SEVENTY-FIFTH ANNIVERSARY MESSAGE It is altogether appropriate that the 1948 Horned Frogi' should emphasize the beginnings, the major historical events and the most influential person- alities in the life and work of Texas Christian University during the past seventy-five years. Ours is indeed a rich heritage. Willingness to sacrifice for a great cause, faithfulness in service, intelligence and constructiveness in plans and policies on the part of those who have gone before, make possible the developments of today and the hopes for tomorrow. The editors of the Horned Frog are to be congratulated for their effec- tiveness in rediscovering and re-emphasizing many of the constructive factors in our inheritance. We welcome the appearance of the 1948 Annual with unusual apprecia- tion and pleasure.
