ANN HAYNES . . . Always friendly, always helpful, Ann calmly goes about her duties as presi- dent of the Association of Women Stu- dents. She is secretary of the Lila Baugh House Council and an officer of the Women's Recreational Association. BOBBY TURNER .. . Bobby is as familiar to A l students as Loftin Hall, where he works in the chow line. He is an Agricultural Edu- cation major and served this year as president of the Future Farmers of America campus chapter. WILLIS COLEMAN . . . Good humored and easy-going, Bill is always around to lend a helping hand. A member of Alpha Chi and Alpha Tan Alpha, he is the senior class representa- tive to the Student Council. mho’s mho MIRIAM GARCIA . . . Quiet and retiring, Miriam carries with her an unmistakable aura of friendliness as she moves about the campus. Her musical talent, unselfishly shared, has given much pleasure. GLENN OWENS . . . As sports writer and business manager for The South Texan, Glenn has contribu- ted a great deal toward making the school paper interesting and informative.

RUTH CARLISLE . . . Good student, good worker, good friend . , . that's Ruth. Her funlovlng person- ality has endeared her to everyone on campus. HARRY ZENNER . . . Harry's ability and resourcefulness inspired his fellow students to elect him president of the Student Council. His friendliness and humor are the essence of the A l campus itself. karl McKinney,., As a member of the A Cappeila Choir and the Madrigalians, Karl has made a name for himself in musical circles. He never refuses a request for help on a program, al- ways does a wonderful job. KAYE ANNE LLOYD ... You name it, Kaye has helped with it. She has her finger in almost every A l pie and in addition can out-work just about everyone on campus. She served this year as chairman of the Student Union Governing Board. JACK CHISUM . . . Jack is ouiet, but always busy. A hard worker, he is male representative-at- large to the Student Council,

LUCILE HODGES . . . Lovely Lu has become a byword for tal- ent and charm on the A l campus. Her portrayals on the college stage will rot soon be forgotten and as Lantana Queen she will always be remembered. who's who RICHARD BIRKENHOLZ ... Always one to do things quickly and ef- ficiently, Richard has made himself prac- tically indispensable on ROTC and APO circles . „ a good student too. JOAN ETHEREDGE . . . As editor of El Rancho, Joan has shown her ef- ficency and willingness to do lots of hard work. A cheerful attitude and a friendly smile best de- scribe her. JAMES SIMPSON Jim quietly and unobtrusively goes about being one of the busiest people on the campus. An agriculture major and an honor student, he is president of Alpha Chi, national honorary scholarship fraternity.
