STUDEdT C0UHCIL The Student Council was organized in 1925 when A l was founded. It has grown just as A l has grown. Its purpose is to handle prob- lems arising among the students, and to make A l a belt : place in which to study and play. Billy Cowart, president of the Student Council, is a senior agriculture major from San Benito. In keeping with his office as head of the stu- dent body, he is familiar to everyone on the campus as being a hard worker and an active participant in all phases of A l activities.

 Bob Franks, the typical journalist, always manages to be in the center of interesting and exciting activi- ties both on and off the campus. His chief interest and his major is journalism. His sense of humor lends flavor to his articles in The South Texan. Moslem fyiawcei QailauMuj, Good old M. F.l She'll tackle any job and see it through. She has a particularly admirable trait of giving credit where credit is due — everyone can do something fine in M. F.'s eyes. She's a good sport. U MecUlen, Al's conscientiousness makes every task which he undertakes result in success. He is determined to complete everything down to the last thread. He's a person worth knowing.

The Board's chief function is to hear the suggestions of various groups and to report any plan or sug- gestion to the Student Council which they feel should be acted upon by thal group.
