AS W Co4feg Sysfeu Appointed by the Governor of Texas, the Board of Directors is responsible for the management of the College and the A AA System. The citizenry of Texas is well represented as the Board members come from all parts of the State and all walks of life. All major policies of the College are initiated in the meetings of the Board. The success of the College in the past, present, and future can be traced to the efforts of the A AA College Board of Directors.

SYSTEM OFFtOALS Office of Chancellor of the A AA System was created in 1948 by the Board of Directors. The Chancellor is the directing head of all activities of the A AA College System and administers the Colleges, Agencies, and Services of the System through an executive officer in charge of each. Dr. AA. T. Harrington rose to the position of Chancellor from the College presidency which he first held in 1950. He has been a part of A AA for forty-five years, earning his B.S. and AA.S. de¬ grees here and teaching in the Chemistry Depart¬ ment until 1941 when he went to Iowa State for his Ph.D. degree.
