Foreword From the Editors: During a Sunday afternoon ' s reminiscing through dusty annuals, a state¬ ment that expresses the desire of every Aggieland editor was found. What was true in 1932 is true in 1958. We have not tried desperately to make this book beautiful ... for life at A AA is not always beautiful. Nor have we striven to portray the passing of but a single year in print and picture . . . for A AA is not to be measured in terms of years. We have endeavored to present A AA as we should always like to re¬ member it and as we want everyone to know it. Our eternal watchword has been stark, utter simplicity, and after all, what is the true A AA but simplicity . . . rugged, indelible. It is the tie that binds those who have gone before with those who are yet to come. We present this yearbook as a medium in that great force. 2
