Hallmark PETROLEUM ENGINEERING Fulfilling the nation’s need for top engineers has given the School of Engineering an air of urgency. The first two years are spent in basic fundamentals, after which the student is given the choice of many fields of specialization. These range from civil engineer¬ ing to the control of nuclear power. Even with the speed of today’s world, Bolton Hall remains as it has for many years, the home of the Electrical Engineers. DEAN JOHN C. CALHOUN ENGINEERING DRAWING W. E. Street GEOLOGY AND GEOPHYSICS S. A. Lynch INDUSTRIAL EDUCATION C. H. Groneman INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING A. R. Burgess MECHANICAL ENGINEERING C. M. Simmang R. L. Whiting A wealth of machinery is at the disposal of the engineering students. This enables them to get the real feel of the problems they will tackle as they go into our nation’s industries. A M is proud of the records its graduate engineers have made for themselves and their school. Here, in one of the chemical engineering labs, are four of this year’s seniors as they take read¬ ings on the distillation tower. They are Kenneth Haggard, Terry Lampkin, Rayford Anthony and Boh Hawkins. 18
