Its duties, clearly defined in the Con¬ stitution and laws of the state, make its work affect in some way the life of practically every citizen of Texas, every day. The System includes four col¬ leges and six statewide services: The A. and M. College of Texas, Arlington State College, Tarleton State College, Prairie View A. and M. College, the Texas Agricultural Experiment Station, the Texas Agricultural Extension Service, the Texas Engineer¬ ing Experiment Station, the Texas Engineering Ex¬ tension Service, the Texas Forest Service, and the Texas Transportation Institute.
