The Veterans ' Wives Club elected Mrs. Nell Creel as president and began its activities with a style show at Sbisa Hall. Major General Percy W. Clarkson, deputy commander of Fourth Army, was on the campus October 24 for an informal visit to present cadet Commissions in Guion Hall. October 31, Halloween, was the freshman ' s day to howl, as sophomores were at their mercy. Also, on that day the Pen- berthy Intramural Message Center was dedicated in honor of W. L. Penberthy, head of the Physical Education Depart¬ ment.
