PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE Student publications reflect the attitudes, ambitions, and aspirations, as well as the ideals of student bodies. Through the Longhorn the editors of that publicati on hare contributed to higher ideals for the student body of this institution. In these uncertain tines, with sen who were trained in this College, scattered throughout the world, those into whose hands the Longhorn falls will find many reminders of the experiences they had and the pleasant days they spent on the campus of this institution. It is our hope that the members of the Class of f 43 will find in the current Longhorn reminders that bring back pleasant memories, and that reimpress upon their minds the beneficial aspects of their college careers. We haTe faith that this Class will truly represent the highest and noblest principles of manhood, and we believe they will give the same kind of efficient service to their Country that men trained at the A, M, College of Texas have given for almost three-quarters of a century, Much depends upon the ideals you carry a way from the institution as to the contribution you will make to the Wation s welfare. Tours will be the privilege to serve your Country and your 4 fellow men more efficiently and effectively than men have had an opportunity to serve those interests heretofore. Tour faculty and the administrative officers of the College will follow your careers with never-failing interest, and shall continue to wish for you the highest measure of success and the richest blessings that can come to men; blessings which come through duties efficiently performed and responsibilities courageously discharged, PBMfVIBf.
