DEDICATION The Longhorn, in former years, has been dedicated to every thing that the School stands for and some things that the School has not been proud of, so this year we are trying to dedicate it to something that is new. This is a State Institution, and it is through the State that it con¬ tinues to operate. This Longhorn has as its theme the activities in which Texas excels. We should con¬ sider that Texas has been a cattle raising State almost exclusively until a comparatively few years ago, but through the untiring efforts of the leaders in the State, Texas has become a leader in the Indus¬ trial as well as the Agricultural world. With this in mind we, the Staff of The 1934 Longhorn, dedi¬ cate this book to a more prosperous and greater State; a State which we can justly be proud of when we say that we are natives of the great¬ est State in the Union.
