mrs11141111m:'gsnsEln5,l.mxr.1Qsi1,:wgams P O W - W O W MUSIC DEPARTMENT The muslc department 1n Teton County Hlgh dates back to 1919 when the mus1cal play Alabama Jubxlee was glven The chorus for th1s was composed of every pupll IU Hlgh School At th1S t1me the muslc was under the dlrectxon of Mr Wllllamson In January 1920 the glrls glee club presented the operetta The Wlld Rose and thls same wlnter a boys octette was orgamzed In the autumn of 1920 Mlss W1ll1amson fwho teaches muslc at the present t1meJ was added to the teachmg staff Thxs years Glee Club was more successful there belng twelve boys and twenty elght glrls en rolled The mus1cal comedy Paul Revere was glven The next year C1921J MISS Wllllamson st1ll plloted the Muslc Depart ment The outlook was more favorable slnce there were more members both ln boys and glrls glee clubs Thls year the Muslcal Comedy I Indla was glven by the glrls glee club Fmally 1n 1922 Mlss Wllllamson began to see some results of her two years hard work Cherry Blossom a mus1cal comedy was glven and was consldered a success by every one The sprlng of 1923 a boys octette was orgamzed The members of thls group were Clark Coffey Clarence Lmdseth Jlm Looney Clxfford Saterlle Bud McNeal Harold Crane Hank Hammond and Brlck Ander ,W .
