'4' ' A-uw -, , . - BASEBALL 1956 The baseball team, under the direction of Ed Kolakoski, brought home its fourth Housatonic Valley League crown. John Smolenski, Don Roland, Tom Pyrzenski played the important roles in the championship game, in which Terryville defeated Bethel, 82. Terryville continued toward the Class C crown. After a long hard tight, Watertown out-scored Terryville 2-1. The team ended the season with a record of T4 wins and two losses. The losses 2-T and 3-T occurred in the games against Watertown. fvM'5',LN Kwai A TRIBUTE We would like to extend our thanks to Mr. Edward Kolokoski, for his thorough job in coaching our baseball team. Mr. Kolokoski's teaching and understanding helped the boys to learn the sportsmanship, team- work, and co-operation, which carried them through a very suc- cessful season.

Compared with previous years this season of girls basketball was very success- ful. ln the last game against Litchfield Margaret Gleason and Margaret Klimkosky were high scorers for Terryville tboth scoring in the double figuresl with Edith Steinagel and Carol Rice assisting in the point-getting. Good defensive work was done by Jean Graham, Carol Miastkowski, and Carol Slovinski. However, it was not until the last quarter that we were confident of winning.
