Lee lippert Russell Garvin Mr. Smith The Senior High Science Club is designed to increase the interest and improve the understanding of science among the students of Terry Parker. The main objective of the club this year was to enter projects in the Science Fair. These groups cover 6 major fields of science, namely, astronomy, biology, chemistry, electronics, physics, and rockets. D. C. T. D. C. T. is an occupational training program whereby the student trains under actual work conditions. It is designed to prepare students for job efficiency in a variety of occupations using the business and industrial establishments of the community as training agencies. During the course of this year the club members have enjoyed both a district and a state convention, and have sponsored such activities as an employer and employee banquet, Christmas breakfast and a Halloween Party with Englewood. The Group is divided into 4 sections, namely Physics, Chemistry, Astronomy, and Biology. During the year the group as a whole heard lectures on medicine, as associated with physics; chemistry and biology; mental health and psychology; and the use of radio-active materials.
