New Is Always Welcome Studenw Iim Finneman and Diana Hoffer go through lunch line Something new is here. Terry High School enroll- ment reached a new peak. Two hundred and eleven students benefited from new and remodeled fcilities. A physical education plant added floor space to the school. Basketball games assumed a different atmosphere in the new gym. New science and music rooms are ingeniously built in the area once occupied by the old gym. New book lockers replaced assigned study hall desks for book storage. A remodeled principal's office sports new curtains and cushioned chairs. As one boy put it, At least there is a soft chair to sit in when I am sent to the office. Mr. John Leininger heads a guidance service for stu- dents. I-lis office is in the refurnished book room. A huznanities class was added to the curriculum. Ni.ne students completed the course under the direction of Mr. james Turner. There have been additions to the faculty. Mrs. Charles Pehl, a local woman, is teaching the home economic classes. Mr. Rockford Hushlca teaches math and commercial subjects. Mr. Don Moos is the shop and math instructor. Miss Pat Sloboj an heads the music department. 3

New Facilities Are Dedicated A ceremony on january 15, l967, officially dedicated the newly con- structed facilities of Terry High School. These facilities include a gymnasium and lobby, a science room, and a music room. Walter johnson, clerk of the board of trustees, delivered the dedication speech. He pointed out that Terry has had only four superintendents of schools . He also outlined the general construction process . Raymond F rank kept the ceremony moving as master of ceremonies. The high school band added a musical touch. Reverendj. D. Lindley closed the dedication ceremony with the benedi ction. Townspeople and students enjoy ltmch in the gym lobby following the dedication ceremony. J 2 ssrrrsl Walter johnson, joe Herbst the contractor, George Page the architect, Raymond Frank and john Pehl pose after the ceremony. Walter Johnson delivers the dedication speech.
