A wild cheer arises from a group of purple and white class spectators. This organized cheering section, the Pep Club, helps to boost school spirit. The Pep Club members in their uniforms of a purple wool jumper and white blouse for the girls and a purple vest for the boys, provide a colorful I f group of enthusiasts. As an organization, it is a mainstay of football and basketball games. Its activities include selling concessions. The lobby of the new gym provides a modern area to sell in. Pep Club this year provided the extra service of a coat check used during basketball games. Among other things, the members act as ushers and serve lunch to the visiting team. Along with the Lettermen's Club, the -, organization sponsors the Lettermen's Ball as . f .ijgfi 'W K Y s ' Bw., ,,,, I part of the Homecoming festivities. Lettermenls Club Has Reduced Membership The busy boys of the Lettermen's Club started the year with only nineteen active members, since membership has been limited to those boys with a given number of athletic points. A Lettermen's Ball was the first project of the year. Almost everyone took part in some way to make it a big success . The next project was raising badly needed funds. The club sold pens, making over eighty dollars . As the year came to an end the boys looked proudly back upon their list of accomplishments and modest profits of the year.
