SOPHOMORE CLASS HISTORY Thirty-three oflast year's freshmen returned August 31, to receive the title of sophomoreg a few enrolled later in the year. Those elected to represent our class for the student coun- cil were James Knopp and Carol Brubaker. The officers e- lected were: Dorcas Hess, Presidentg Ranier Freiboth, Vice Presidentg Evalena Gaub, Secretary-treasurer. Mr. Hursh was chosen as our class sponsor. Money was made selling refreshments at ball games and giving dances. Our first dance was Women-pay-all. Another was given in the spring. The sophomore class contributed players to both the foot- ball and basketball teams. We also had one member on the cheering squad for 1953-54 while the rest gave support. 18 - - ' '?
