You figure it out Cal ulating mind Mathematics affects every student at Terry at one time or another in his or her life. This is the reason that two years of mathe- matics was required in order for a student to graduate. The courses offered at Terry were Fundamentals of Math, Introduction to Algebra, Algebra l, Il, lll, and IV, Geometry, Trigonometry, Elementary analysis, and Calculus. Mathematics evolved over the past few decades from the learning of mathe- matical facts to the mathe- matical advancement of computers. Even though mathematics changed drastically in those few years, it will continue to un- fold to meet the tougher demands of the future, ac- cording to John Savell, math department chairman. Though not all students pursued a profesison requir- ing a complete knowledge of mathematics, useful infor- mation of mathematics sup- plied students with abilities of everyday existence.
