What Is Pro 'ect Discover .9 The answer will not be known this year. Research teams from East Texas State University and Ohio State University are studying activities within and out- side the classrooms of the entire Terrell School System: Where every room is provided with light and temperature con- trol for ideal study. Where every teacher has automatic mo- tion picture and filmstrip projection equipment. Where every building has a complete library of films and filmstrips to vi- talize each unit in the curriculum. Where films are used, not as supplementary, but as basic materials of instruction. Where every child has a front seat to learning. The general purpose of the Ohio State Innovation Study is to see how a new idea develops and is carried out. Mr. Owens, who received his B. A. in Economics from Fordham University in New York City and his M. A. in Education from Ohio State University, interviews teachers to obtain their views on this new discovery and keeps records of the films. He then relates this information to Ohio State University. Mr. Tom Uwens s, X Z Board of Education

MR. GRADY HE TER SUPERINTENDENT We hope you, the first graduating class of our new High School, will leave these halls with the same tenacity of purpose and the will to overcome all obstacles in life, that you have shown in overcoming the problems we have en- countered in getting adjusted to moving into this new building. Giving up old customs and traditions isn't an easy task, but you will find the outside world is also a constantly changing and challenging way of life. You have been schooled well. I wish you all success in your future life. You underclassmen, may you live and cn- joy this new school and take full advantage of the purposes for which it was provided. Build strong, worthwhile traditions for future classes to live by.
