PROLOG UE Lana Smelker Editor The music of the overture soars to its fullest heights proclaiming a dynamic play. All the actors backstage nervously await their cues. The directors stand by in anticipation of success. With the stage set and lights ready, the curtain slowly rises, opening upon a splendor of emo- tions, excitement, and moments of joy and sadness. This is the year 1964-65, our anticipated year that must and will be an unparalleled success. Our stars, the Seniors, with their lines and actions properly rehearsed, smoothly portray their long sought roles. The Junior co-stars will certainly be rewarded for their roles as best support- ing actors. The understudies, the Sophornores, have gained much experience and will rise to greater heights in the coming years. All ther lines and actions will be watched with great ad- miration by the Freshmen to prepare themselves for their future roles. , Dances, class parties, honors, holidays, exciting games, and of course diligent studying en- hance our plot. With each scene our play becomes intensified with our fond memories of Terrell High School. l 5
Mr. John B. Chambers will always be remembered by the classes and faculty of 1965 because of his ready sense of humor, his willingness to join in fun, and his active interest in the students and activities of Terrell High. In the six years Mr. Chambers has been a chemistry teacher, he has held the love and respect of students while maintaining good discipline. Mr. Chambers shows his respect and concern for students not only by sponsoring the Senior Class and Chemistry Club but also by his everyday dealings withthem. With deep appreciation, we dedicate this 1965 TIGER to Mr. John B. Chambers. 6
