While it is a report to you, the patrons, of your schools work and activities, it is at the same time a memory book for your sons and daughters who took part in each act here recorded. It reflects the atmosphere of other students who have gone before, and hints at that which will come in the future. While we are looking at the faces of these well known friends it would be well if we pledged ourselves again to two of the basic principles upon which our na- tion is based and took a third obligation as citizens to the nation that has made this school system possible. l. The American public school, nonpartisan, nonsectarian, efficient, democratic, for all ofthe children of all the people. 2. The entire separation of Church and State. 3.
