Clt Clllfonlfz vim WAR STAMPS LIBRARY STAFF Our Sophomores are doing their bit for the war effort by By their helpful and courteous service, our librarians with selling war stamps every Tuesday. Under the able super- Miss Locke, head librarian, help students in research vision of Miss Soth, this class has urged the school on to activities and book reports. a higher goal of participation. ART CLASS PHYSICS CLASS Miss Abel conducts the art classes in which students study The science department, under Miss Philhower and Mrs, sketching, painting, and figure composition. Shackelford, prepares for the streamlined post-war world. MAINTENANCE Mr. Owens and Mr. Meek by their untiring and scientific efforts accomplish the difficult task of keeping the school in order. GYM CLASS ELEMENTARY TEACHERS Physical fitness and healthful enjoyment are the keynotes Miss Gregory, Mrs. Hamer, Mrs. Radle, Mrs. Beckman, and of Mr. Heil's gym classes. Mrs. Grove linsetj train the minds of our younger students toward interest in study. 67

clllfhan clflfe FEBRUARY Knocked ourselves out golng to Pep Assembly to compose new cheers which led our teams further Into victory After the vtc torlous Mllford game the pupils of Mllford and Terrace Park enloyed a dance given by the seniors Senlor boys excellent decorators Rolled on the floor with laughter as the two characters of the senlor class better known as Tom and Frank walked Into their home room after their first lesson In barberlng Everyone agreed that they appeared like something out of this world Laughed cried yelled and relotced over the breath taking Plaln vllle game This IS one date that will long be remembered by the students of Terrace Park The rumors also gave a Chlck dance afterwards Entered the tournaments with our first victory over Colerain vs l'errace Park Reserves Won our second game In the tournament against Sycamore and Loveland Played and won our thlrd game In the tournament against Ander son We lust can t be beaten' Wept over our loss In the game against Mt Healthy The game was practically In the bag when Mt Healthy zoomed ahead and overtook us lSpoke too soon In the last paragraph l of Hamilton County We also were very proud of the Varsity as they played a most remarkable game against Glendale with a double over time The Varsity team was rewarded with a Con solatlon Trophy MARCH Stlll held our luck and won the game against Mt Orab at St X Played and lost our last game against Wyoming with one over time Too bad' Everyone was looking forward to that next game which would have been with Lockland Wayne lKlng and Cone especlallyl Newtowners sang Rlver Stay Way From My Door and went home expecting to see our houses floating down Main Street Felt sorry for the flood sufferers but were happy because we all received a sprung vacation for one week Crossed our fingers for good luck when the Upper Ten Per Centers of the senior class took the scholarship test 27 28 Pulled our halr out strand by strand each time we took an every pupll test Into our hand APRIL The guys and the gals gathered to goin hands at the freshman party and to strengthen ourselves for the long road ahead Danced to a smooth orchestra and gazed romantically at the moon Everyone breathed more easily as the boat docked for ll was Friday the l3th Upperclassmen trled to explain to the eighth graders that their test wasn t anything to get excited over Put on our Sunday best and took our favorlte beau to the Moon light Fiesta Dance The decorations were qulte orlglnal and the band was really on the mellow slde MAY 18 Went to swing and sway to the music at the HI Y s bxg dance There was qulte a crowd and everyone enloyed himself JUNE 7 Became serious for once and realized that ll was the end of the beglnnlng for the Seniors We shall always remember the good tlmes we had at Terrace Park and hope that the other classes have as much fun FLD +-T xt. -C3 UC E -2 fflbi Qc X gl S.:-f qmg -fl-L..
