,lf 1-Miss Dorothy Middendorf We heartily agree that little girls are made of sugar and spice if we may use Miss Middendorf as an example. Her vitality is inex- haustible, as is her clever wit. Mademoiselle is truly daring on a horse, on the hockey field, and in many types of sports. She has a definite philosophy of life which tends to make her enioy this old world, despite its many ills and woes. 4-Miss Carolyn Blank Miss Blank has been trying to dis- prove that old adage There is nothing new under the sun, for creating new ideas is her hobby. She has originated the Handicraft Club and contributed many con- structive ideas to the Girl Reserves. Not only can she stir up new schemes but also luscious cakes and stunning clothes. She has cer- tainly proved herself a valuable addition to our school. 2-Mr. Philip iBudl Heil Bud Heil came to T. P. as coach and gym class instructor in l942. A valuable first string football player and light heavyweight boxing champion for three years at the University of Cincinnati, Bud is well-suited for this work. He has maintained very high standards of sportsmanship, in- stilling in his students a love for clean sports and fair play as well as a desire to win. 5-Miss Eleanor Gallagher Always light and gay, even dur- ing her classes, Miss Gallagher has that certain something that keeps her students in the best of spirits at all times. Her high in- telligence in commercial subiects has been the reason for the suc- cess of many boys and girls in the business world. The Class of '45 will always remember their many happy experiences in her home room. I4 3-Miss Lucille Grubbs A new Southern drawl has been noticed around the halls of T. P. this year. The owner, Miss Grubbs, is young, blonde, and friendly. She has succeeded in capturing the hearts of her seventh grade pupils, especially Steve and Irvin, who enliven her classes. Among her accomplishments is the art of cooking, missing busses, and mak- ing friends, especially one cer- tain Dan, her fiance. 6-Mrs. Cleon Dickens lf we students were grading our teachers on the three musts, school, home, and church, Mrs. Dickens would rate very high in all three. She gives much of her time to directing a choir and playing the organ, and she keeps the home fires burning for her hus- band, and her son, who is in the U. S. Army. We all know her in school for her conscientiousness and her patience with us.
