ECHUES UF 1941 OW that we are seniors we can look back in years to when we were cornrnonly known as the children of the seventh and eighth grades and laugh and say those were the good old daysl Bat none of us will forge' how scared we becarne at the thought of really becoming a freshman in high school At graduation we gave our childish thoughts to the classes behind us and turned over a new leaf for 1937 We started out in grand style by electing some newcomers to Terrace Park as our exe utives lack Harvey was elected preside-n G orge Klopp vic president and Grace Keown secretary treasurer Two people repre ented us on the Bulldog staff and niie on the scholarship earn Ten cf our rne nbers won the long struggle and rnade the Latin Club Many of us pa tic oated in the unforgettable Dido and Aeneas ard H lvl S Pina ore And of course who could forget the freshman partyl The na litte freshm n soon be arne sophisticated soph rncres Vx7e swung into l938 wth Gc rge Klo o as president Bob Marline vice president Bay Paulsan secretary relaxation lt happ ned to be a barn dance w'1ich none of our nienibers will ever forget Everyb dy cane out dressed to swing you partners Also during the year the lnlorne Eckers gave a oinner with Betty Brunner turning into a fine hostess They served a delicious rnear which proved that the girls knew how to cook l939l We breathed a sigh of reliefl We were no longer underclassrnen At first we missed all our rnenibers lrorn P ainvrlle District but we are glad that they like their fine new school As the llome Guards we carried the year through with flying colors Boger Booze was elected president Dick Shaw vicepresident Carol Forshee secretary and 'Wanda lXfdTl1I'l treasurer We worked hard to earn the necessary funds to put over a grand lunior Senior lt really was a gala occasion n a Dutch garden At last NG ar suprernel We are going d wn the last lap under the expert leadership of Kathern Iohnston president lohn McKee vice president Ddrothy Taylor secretary and Harrison Clancey treasurer We certainly want to thank the Juniors for a niarvelous lunior Senior The outhern atrnosphere gave us the feeling of being down south of the Mason Dixon As we eave cur grand Alina lla er which gave us rr any happy hours with our teachers and classrnates we realize that we will never forget the four wonderful years spent in these walls l12l c ' . 1 i ' tg e , ef ' y I - ' 3 ,, ,, I ,I ir . 1: t H t ,, X A ,, I .
