P FIGHTI FOR VICTURY The 1981-82 soccer team learned one thing this year, if the team was going to win it would be a fight to the finish on the soccer field to see who would claim the victory. Although the teams ranking in league play was not of the highest nature, opposing teams could count on a tough game if they were to face the Lancer squad. With Juan Fiandor at middle forward, Emanual Pacheco, Reshpal Singh, Hong Sun Kim, and Arturo Villasenor as half backs, and full backs Angle Manjiuar, Adrian Gonzales, and Mark Yin the team had some of the best individual talent it has seen in years. The question is if these players can pull together as a team. This is one of the many tests the team faced during the season. One more positive note was the goalie position, with no returning goalie coach Victor Serrano turned to Brian Moore and Peter Westerfield to solve this problem. Some- how Artro Villasenor manages to see through his hair enough to take and clear the ball. 3. The only word to describe Juan Fiandor is awesome as he takes a shot on goal. Soccer stat Phillis Wong. 4. Powering the ball upfield Adrian Gonzales dampers the opponents chance of any scoring possibility. Soccer stat Ellen Nagasawa 5. With not alot of grace but every bit of possible effort Emanual Pacheco shields his San Lor- enzo opponent from reaching the ball. Soccer stat Gina Taylor 6. Peter Westerfield makes one of four- teen saves on the day while on his way to recording a shutout. Soccer stat Susan Hanson 7.
