THE GGPEELI OPHOMQRE This year the class of 84's theme was Sophomore's Go Bananas. The Sophomores could always be seen in a bunch, walking down the halls saying Sophomores don't take no umph jive',, during spirit week! They were up at 3:00 in the morning decorating the hall in yellow, black, and white. 'gEven though it was so early in the morning we still had a lot of fun. said sophomore Debbie King. The sophomore's float was a gazebo with two giant bananas on the sides. It was speetacularl, and all their hard work paid off, as they wi' got third place for their float. They had a lot of spirit and enthusiasm during the rally. The sophomore bananas didn't split their fourth place finish at the rally with any of the other classes. LLO EE HO ECO I The Halloween-Homecoming dance was a great success. The spirit week winners were announced along with the winners with the best Halloween costume. The winners of spirit week were fourth place: Juniors, third place: Sophomores, second place: Freshmen and first place with the Senior Syndicate. The three best costume winners were Karyn Johnson, Carolyn Cola, and Cheryl Kiyoi. Karyn was the favorite for her Belly Danc er costume! The music was provided by a DJ who got everyone out there dancin'. The dance helped the leadership class raise money for up com ing student activities. -ff Dance!
