TRACK: A STEP HE D THE REST is what this years 1982 track teams were trying to do. The team had to practice for several hours a week on our track and also on the trails of Garin Park Some of the key people on the team were Dion Washington, Manjo Sen, Scott Andrews and Ron McDonald, however the rest of the people on the team were also a great necessity to the team. It was an inexperienced team but besides Castro Valley we were competitive with the others schools , com- mented Mr. Ron Stark The team did well this season finishing in one of the top four spots in the league. The defending league champions were Scott Andrews and Marcia Whalen. L'Our team this year was relatively small, but we were still the best. I wish the track team of 1983 good luck but with a coach like Mr. Stark I know that they will do tremendously well,'i said Dion Wash- ington, Senior. l36fTraCk
